Gaius
When I don’t know what to draw I usually default to character designs. This design I created is inspired by the album ZABA by indie rock band Glass Animals, which in turn was inspired by The Island of Doctor Moreau. Each character in this storyline takes on characteristics of jungle animals, until they lose touch with their sense of humanity.

In the spring of 2019 I was invested in building out the story more and adding characters, I started planning out a large illustration to show more of the atmosphere for the setting, and describe the relationships between each character. Below are some of the sketches I did to plan out the drawing, as well as some more character designs and the original paper sketch for the digital illustration above.
